The Year of the Yes — My Experience at the Boston Book Festival

This weekend, I had the incredible honor of participating in the Boston Book Festival, surrounded by brilliant authors, storytellers, and book lovers from all walks of life. The energy was nothing short of inspiring — the kind of magic that only happens when creativity and community meet in one place.

One of the highlights of the festival was hearing Shonda Rhimes, the powerhouse behind Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, and Shondaland, share her story and wisdom. Listening to her speak reminded me of the importance of saying “yes” — yes to opportunities, yes to growth, yes to stepping outside our comfort zones.

Her book "Year of Yes" continues to resonate with so many of us, and this year, I truly felt the message come full circle. Saying yes brought me to this moment — standing among such talented voices, celebrating stories that heal, empower, and connect.

I left the festival feeling grateful, motivated, and ready to keep saying YES — to creativity, to purpose, and to the journey ahead.

This truly is The Year of the Yes!
